Each year we offer professional development opportunities highlighting those that want to lean and expand their leadership capabilities. Earlier this year fifteen individuals participated in a six-month Leadership Training program offered by our Executive Director, Paul Dann, Ph.D. The program helps participants to fulfill their potential through effective leadership skills training in areas like team building, decision making, qualities of good leadership and more. Our Leadership Series includes six sessions which begin with what is essentially a life long journey of exploring, understanding and refining our capacity to serve as leaders within the organization as well as the larger community. As a part of this we ask that everyone come to every session with an open mind and a willingness to learn from a personal as well as a professional standpoint. In addition to our six monthly seminars, the leadership curriculum calls for our attendees to engage in some reading as well as some activities in between sessions.
