April 6, 2021 Contoocook, N.H. – NFI North is pleased to announce that Demitria Kirby, Youth Services Manager for the City of Keene, has been elected to its Board of Directors.
“Dimitria is a real champion for youth,” says Paul Dann, NFI North’s Executive Director. “Her experience with supporting youth development and child advocacy is a valuable addition to our Board. We could not be more thrilled to welcome Dimitria to our Board of Directors.”
Kirby regularly collaborates with law enforcement, schools, and community agencies to identify risk factors within the community and to implement strategies for building resiliency for children and youth.
Prior to her current role for the City of Keene, Dimitria worked as a Child Protective Worker for DCYF and a Domestic Violence Advocate at a local Crisis Center. She has an Associate’s in Chemical Dependency, a Bachelor’s in Psychology and is graduating with an MBA in Leadership this May.
Kirby has recently been awarded Keene State College’s Annual President’s Outstanding Women of NH.
