NFI North, as a subsidiary of NAFI, was incorporated in 1992 to develop community-based services for children, youth, and families within the northern New England states of New Hampshire and Maine. Its first service, developed in 1990, continues to provide Intensive Tracking and Supervision for youth in the Keene and Claremont areas of New Hampshire. The initial success of this important program in helping young people to live productively in their homes and communities established a benchmark of excellence for the development of NFI North’s many other specialized services for children, youth, families, adults and seniors.

Today NFI North provides a wide array of diverse and innovative services, including but not limited to professional staff development, specialized girls services, day treatment, foster care and all levels of residential care for youth, in-home child health and community support services, adult residential care and assisted living for seniors.

Through the organizations’ many programs, NFI North provides essential services to hundreds of families each day. NFI North prides itself on the quality of our staff, our organizational expertise and our ability to be innovative in the fields of human services, mental health and education.
